We have discussed using fairy moss in the living fairy garden, and we have lined up a fairy garden workshop next month with our friends at The Fairy Store. Very, very fairy!

Department 56 has created a story around all their new fairy accessories. If you are familiar with their well-known highly collectible miniature holiday village scenes and accessories, this new line follows the same love of a good story. Each character has little bio included with them, or you can formulate your own story from the figure itself. Animal soldiers and a knight-gnome patrols and protects the garden. The fairies and their brothers, take care of the seeds and flowers. Each fairy animal has a purpose that can easily be turned into a sweet little garden lesson for the kids too.
