~ Yessiree! Step right up and join the show! We’ve been specializing in escapism professionally since 2001. Personally, escapism is my other hobby, that I’ve been practicing for as long as I can remember.

I’ve got my parents voices in my head to prove it: “Her head is in the clouds,” “She is always somewhere else…” Or, better yet, I was known as the Family Flake for the longest time because my mind would be elsewhere – they weren’t wrong.

And I used to think that was a bad thing.

Well, it isn’t.

Escapism is REAL. AND it’s going trendy AND it’s about to be “all the rage” this season!

And, the PERFECT thing to escape with is something that will takeover your thinking, make your imagination soar, keep you up dreaming about it in the wee hours of the morning and – most importantly – make you smile, giggle and have fun.

If you know me you know what’s coming… :o)

Cue: Miniature Gardening!

You see, the new hobby of gardening in miniature has the right amount of everything:

  • It’s very creative
  • It’s completely adaptable
  • It’s accessible by almost everyone
  • It overlaps a number of other hobbies (only the fun parts!)
  • It’s fun
  • It’s satisfying
  • It keeps you curious
  • It can be any size
  • It can grow anywhere
  • It makes you want to learn more
  • It’s portable
  • It keeps you in a state of wonder
  • It makes you smile, giggle and “squee”
  • Need I say more?

Okay, I’ll say one more thing about this. I’m hard to keep amused. Once I learn something, I tend to move on to the next thing. I love all kinds of crafting and I’m an artist too – so any medium or craft is alluring to me. But I’ve stayed with this hobby for over 20 years now, and I’m still learning, finding different ways to get my ideas together and discovering new plants and trees to play with each season.

This gardening in miniature hobby is so rich with possibilities, you’ll be surprised at how it will keep you engaged year after year – all year long. I guarantee it.
